This is surely the page that will register the biggest success among all this site's guests, especially those that never had the chance to appreciate live the wonderful show of the Presepe Vivente di Baia e Latina pageant, first of all, our beloved immigrant worldwide!! For them, we've enclosed here a huge amount of short videoclips, zipped in MPEG format, selected between the most beautiful scenes of the pageant.

CURIOSITY: The starting images of this video shows some farm tools, truly manufactured by this extraordinary artisan. 'So?..', you may ask.. CURIOSITY: Sebastian (the first guy, on the right, in the video) is a now well-known character among the Presepe Vivente: thousands of people, now, perfectly know him after they have tasted the excellent wine that he distributes in his winery during the pageant...

THE CAVE OF TORTURES
"Inside a dark cave, some hangmen are torturing some prisoners, between any kind of screams, laments, threats and imprecations..".

CURIOSITY: This scene has been the most disturbing one among all the Presepe visitors, also due to the great performance of the characters, a dark gothic ambience and some special effects sounds and lighting that, unlucky, because of the flash used during the footage, has been forcingly lost.

EMBROIDERS SHOP

CURIOSITY: The laces and the embroiding that are all around the room are true artisanal hand made old creations achieved by the town embroiders...

DECORATRICI SU CRETA
"Due artigiane, esperte decoratrici su creta e ceramica, sono intente ad eseguire alcuni disegni su vasi e piatti..".

CURIOSITA': Fra tutte le tecniche usate per la decorazione della creta e della ceramica, la più interessante è quella che prevede l'uso di tempere e pennello, molto difficoltosa anche perché il pennello stesso, ad evitare deleterie colature, va mantenuto in posizione praticamente verticale...

POLENTA E FORMAGGIO
"In un ambiente domestico d'epoca alcune donne sono impegnate in varie mansioni: la più anziana sta cucinando la polenta nel camino, un'altra sta lavorando il formaggio da una cagliata di latte di mucca, mentre altre distribuiscono assaggini ai visitatori..".

CURIOSITA': La produzione artigiana del formaggio (di mucca, di pecora e, piuttosto limitatamente, di capra) è tuttora una pratica abbastanza comune tra gli allevatori locali.
